Java Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of a Java Developer in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, test, and support enterprise applications using modern software engineering practices
* Collaborate with business analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions
* Build and enhance application components, services, and APIs while following established development standards
* Participate in Agile development activities, including planning, development, testing, and production support
* Troubleshoot application issues, optimize performance, and support deployment activities
* Contribute to automation, continuous integration, and software quality improvement initiatives
* Follow risk, security, and compliance requirements while maintaining reliable application performance

REQUIREMENTS:
* 3+ years of software development experience in enterprise environments
* Experience with Java, Spring Boot, and object-oriented programming principles
* Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and data access technologies
* Familiarity with event-driven architectures, messaging platforms, and caching technologies
* Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, and CI/CD practices
* Understanding of software testing, application security, and scalable system design
* Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
