System Test Engineering Technician
Position Summary:
Responsible for deploying and maintaining a test laboratory used to validate retail automation solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute structured, step-by-step test procedures across software, firmware, and hardware components of autonomous robotic systems, ensuring every feature performs exactly as designed before deployment
- Physically operate and test robots in lab and real-world environments, identifying behavioral anomalies, sensor failures, and hardware issues including tracking cameras, LiDAR, and other robotic systems
- Document defects clearly, thoroughly, and reproducibly in defect reports for the engineering team, maintaining precise records of test passes and outcomes to ensure traceability and repeatability
- Support the setup, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of robotic test spaces, hardware targets, and test equipment while adhering to safety protocols for working around moving autonomous machines
