Responsibilities
- Support the development and modernization of cloud-based applications and data solutions within a large financial services environment.
- Lead hands-on development efforts across AWS technologies, collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.
- Contribute throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), developing and enhancing cloud applications and data processes.
- Assist teams in making effective use of existing enterprise technology assets.
- Utilize AWS services such as Glue, Lambda, Redshift, S3, SQS/SNS, RDS, ECS, EMR, DMS, and related tools to build effective solutions.
- Apply AI-assisted development techniques and test automation to improve development speed and quality.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, test, and implement enterprise applications or data solutions.
- Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards and best practices, incorporating reusable components and efficient coding practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Python software development experience.
- Hands-on experience developing solutions within AWS cloud environments.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or Java, with solid SQL knowledge.
- Experience with AWS services such as Glue, Lambda, ECS, EMR, Redshift, DMS, S3, SQS/SNS, and RDS.
- Experience working with relational databases like PostgreSQL and Oracle.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile practices.
- Experience developing, testing, troubleshooting, and deploying enterprise applications or data solutions.
- Familiarity with test automation tools, frameworks, and best practices.
- Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools or techniques to accelerate SDLC activities.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and technology teams.
- Understanding of enterprise development standards, reusable components, and best practices in software engineering.
- Financial services experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
