Role: Senior Network Engineer
Location: Nashville, TN
Title
o Senior Network Engineer
Summary of Responsibilities & information on tasks/projects that will be assigned.
o Formulates, defines, and designs network project changes, scopes, and
objectives based on business needs
o Provides technical support on BNA s network environment by identifying
network requirements, installing network components, maintaining
upgrades and monitoring network performance.
o Identify, track, and manage upgrades to network assets and infrastructure;
this includes switches, routers, firewalls, modems, fiber optic cables,
wireless access points, network cables.
o Configure, maintain, and update local area network (LAN) and wide area
network (WAN) documentation
o A thorough understanding of Local Area Networking (Rapid PVST, MultiChassis EtherChannel, VPC, VRRP, VSS, spanning-tree, trunking, SVI, etc.)
o A thorough understanding of network routing protocols (BGP, EIRGP, and
OSPF).
o Designs, sets up and configures complex switching environments utilizing
Cisco IRS routers, Cisco Catalyst switches, and IOS systems with a firm
understanding of hierarchical network infrastructures.
o Knowledge and use of tools such as Cisco Catalyst Center, Cisco Identity
Services Engine, and Wireless LAN controllers
o Diagnose and resolve issues with wired and wireless network, and virtual
local area networks (VLANS)
o Follow a formal change control process to document hardware and software
requirements related to system and network changes.
o Evaluates network topology and establish plans for network resilience.
Skills and Qualifications preferred vs required. Range of years of experience,
certifications, software experience, etc.
o Cisco Certified Network Professional at a minimum
o At least 7 years of network experience
o Bachelor s Degree desired
o Cisco Firepower and Palo Alto network firewall experience desired
o Experience with planning and implementing SD-Access desired
