RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Test Architect in support of our enterprise telecommunications and mass media client based in Greenwood Village, CO.
Summary:
The Test Architect will be embedded within product teams, owning the overall testing approach from grooming sessions through production deployment. This is a hands-on, highly collaborative role that requires strong communication, technical depth, and the ability to anticipate downstream impacts.
Responsibilities:
* Test Architect will serve as the technical and quality authority for assigned products and features, guiding testing strategy from requirements through release
* Participate in business and technical grooming sessions (40-50% of time), ensuring clarity of requirements and identifying potential gaps or risks early
* Develop high-level test scenarios and technical documentation, aligning QA efforts with business intent
* Partner with integration and functional testing teams to hand off test plans, provide ongoing support, and clarify requirements throughout test execution
* Advise on test design and recommend appropriate smoke, regression, and end-to-end testing approaches
* As a Test Architect, you will remain engaged post-deployment to assist with troubleshooting and defect resolution
* Champion testing best practices, mentor testers, and help evolve testing methodologies across teams
* Collaborate closely with development, product, and QA teams to ensure consistent quality and traceability throughout the delivery lifecycle
REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong background in manual testing with experience in test architecture or QA leadership roles
* Experience balancing priorities, managing deliverables, and driving clarity in complex environments
* Expertise in JIRA and Confluence (Atlassian suite) for documentation and test management
* Understanding of RESTful services, API request/response validation (using tools like Postman or cURL)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to lead through influence and collaboration
* Comfortable supporting both API (-70%) and UI (-30%) testing efforts
* Proven ability to navigate technical and business discussions with confidence and diplomacy
Preferred Skills:
* Background in mobile or telecommunications environments
* Familiarity with Splunk, Oracle, or MongoDB
* Exposure to test automation frameworks or interest in automation migration efforts
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
