W2 Contract-to-Hire, 12 Months
This is a hybrid position in Turtle Creek, PA (Onsite Tue/Wed/Thu; Remote Mon/Fri).
Overview & Responsibilities
Work with a global leader in power generation servicing as a Project Accountant within their aftermarket division. In this role, you will be the financial backbone for the service and repair team, ensuring that 15-20 active projects are accurately tracked, billed, and reconciled. You will serve as a strategic partner to Project Managers, moving beyond basic data entry to provide profitability insights and manage the full lifecycle of project finances in a collegial, development-focused environment. Assemble and track monthly project costs for 15 20 service and repair projects.
Manage the full customer invoicing process, including Time & Material (T&M) and fixed-price billing.
Reconcile timesheets and expense reports using Concur to ensure accurate billable hours and costs.
Monitor cost and revenue alignment to provide accurate financial reporting and profitability summaries.
Lead accounts receivable efforts, including customer cash collection, monitoring delinquent accounts, and resolving payment discrepancies.
Perform month-end close activities, including AR journal entries and reconciliations.
Participate in the upcoming ERP migration to Oracle.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3-10 years of experience in project accounting.
Highly skilled in customer invoicing, accounts receivable, and month-end close processes (journal entries and reconciliations).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with Oracle or a similar ERP system.
Strong understanding of revenue recognition and general accounting principles.
Proven ability to work independently in a small-team environment and solve problems directly.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Oracle or Microsoft SL (Solomon).
Previous experience using Concur for expense tracking.
Background in field service, manufacturing repair, or a similar industrial industry.
