Summary

Senior Automation Validator

Location: Woodlawn, MD (Onsite – 5 days/week)
Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust

Introduction:

The Senior Automation Validator will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance for the development and maintenance of automation artifacts, conducting manual and automation testing, and collaborating with the integration team to facilitate automation runs. The ideal candidate will have expertise in automation testing, Selenium, Cucumber, BDD, Gherkin, and API testing using tools like Rest Assured or Postman.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain automation artifacts including the automation framework, grid, and automation scripts.
Conduct both manual and automation testing, including API testing using tools like REST Assured or Postman.
Collaborate with the integration team to facilitate automation runs in the Integration environment.
Provide expertise in automation test framework development, development of automation tests using core Java, Selenium, Cucumber, and Gherkin.
Execute automation test suites and document defects.
Perform all other duties as assigned or directed.

Requirements:

FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS (Basic Qualifications)

Bachelor''''s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
8+ years of experience with Automation and API testing.
8+ years of experience on an Agile development team, preferably Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.

FACTORS TO HELP YOU SHINE (Required Skills)

Expertise in using Selenium for web applications and automating regression test cases (Selenium WebDriver).
Strong experience developing test scripts for BDD using Cucumber and Gherkin.
Experience developing Selenium automation framework using Junit/TestNG frameworks and Maven.
Experience with API Testing using tools like REST Assured or Postman.
Experience with JAVA, JavaScript-based technologies.
Comprehensive knowledge of Agile development process and ceremonies.
Strong communication and collaborative skills.

HOW TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD (Desired Skills)

Proficiency in using Selenium for web applications and automating regression test cases.
Experience with Jenkins Auto jobs, Stash/Bitbucket.
Experience in configuring execution of automated regressions suite using Jenkins CI/CD pipeline.
Experience maintaining resources in configuration management tools, such as GitHub repository.
Experience with Version One management tool.
Automation test results debugging.
Bachelor''''s degree with 7+ years of experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.
