Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Production Operations Engineer with hands-on experience in IBM Z automation and mainframe automation migration projects.
Mandatory Requirement: Candidates must have direct, hands-on experience migrating automation from CA OPS/MVS to IBM Tivoli System Automation for z/OS (IBM SA z/OS). Experience with both products without actual migration experience is not sufficient.
Candidates must also have strong REXX programming skills and practical experience supporting z/OS production operations.
Mandatory Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with CA OPS/MVS to IBM Tivoli System Automation for z/OS migration.
- Strong REXX programming and automation scripting experience.
- IBM System Automation for z/OS (SA z/OS).
- NetView for z/OS.
- System Automation Policy Database (PDB).
- TSO/ISPF and strong JCL skills.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Mainframe Operations, Production Support, Automation, or related environment.
- Experience with z/OS automation migration projects.
- Strong troubleshooting, production support, and communication skills.
Additional Preferred Skills
- z/OS system operations, configuration, startup, and shutdown.
- SMP/E installation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with other IBM Z software and competing mainframe automation products.
- Experience with automated system configuration and enterprise mainframe environments.
