JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Title: Software Developer
Location: Onsite - Miami, FL
Duration: 6+ Months
Position Overview
The consultant will be responsible for transitioning legacy systems, including PEN, MS Access, and Mainframe applications, into GoldKey. The role requires ensuring data integrity and validation throughout the migration process.
The consultant will embed Impervious Surface Reviews into Paving and Drainage workflows, optimize the Building Permit process, and implement automated workload assignment features. The role also supports compliance with impervious surface review regulations, environmental and historical preservation requirements, and municipal Sewer Extension Permits.
Key Responsibilities
- Migrate and modernize legacy systems into the GoldKey platform.
- Ensure data integrity and validation during system migration.
- Integrate Impervious Surface Review processes into Paving and Drainage workflows.
- Optimize Building Permit processes.
- Implement automated workload assignment features.
- Support compliance with regulatory and environmental requirements.
- Integrate payments and ECM systems to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with county analysts, cross-functional teams, and vendors.
Minimum Skills Required
C# / .NET
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming.
- Strong experience with .NET framework.
- Debugging expertise.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code.
JavaScript & jQuery
- Strong understanding of core JavaScript concepts.
- DOM manipulation.
- Asynchronous programming.
- AJAX for dynamic web interactions.
Oracle & SQL
- Expertise in PL/SQL.
- Query optimization.
- Writing efficient queries and stored procedures.
- Database normalization and structured data management.
MVC Framework
- Ability to implement MVC architecture.
- Experience with routing and security best practices.
Windows & Web Services
- Experience with Windows application development.
- Development and integration of REST/SOAP APIs.
- Authentication mechanisms for secure system integrations.
SSIS & SSRS
- Deep understanding of ETL processes.
- Data transformations.
- Performance reporting.
Large-Scale Systems Experience
- Practical experience modernizing and integrating legacy systems such as PEN, MS Access, and Mainframe platforms into modern environments.
Communication & Collaboration
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams, including county analysts and vendors.
Minimum Education & Experience Required
- Prior work in government agencies or organization managing large-scale data migrations and systems integrations preferred.
