Job Title : Sr Oracle Apps DBA
Location : Las Vegas, NV (Onsite)
Duration : Full-time/ Direct-Hire
Summary:
On-premise environments handle installation, maintenance, and optimization of Oracle E-Business Suite (R12.1/R12.2) on physical or virtualized servers like Linux/Unix.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years Oracle DBA with 5+ in EBS on-prem; skills in Shell/Perl scripting, AD utilities (adadmin/adctrl), RAC/ASM.
- 24x7 on-call support; Unix/Linux proficiency
- Excellent communication skills.
Daily Operations:
- Monitor database and application performance using OEM, AWR reports, and alerts for tablespaces, blocking sessions, and mount points.
- Troubleshoot concurrent manager issues, workflow errors, and forms/services; bounce services and clear middle-tier logs during maintenance windows.
- Manage user access, roles, profiles, and security; handle SSO/HTTPS setup and OS-level patches.
Patching and Cloning:
- Perform pre-patch analysis, apply database (Opatch/PSU) and app patches (ADOP/adpatch) across tiers, test in non-prod first.
- Clone multi-node to single-node or shared appltop instances using Rapid Clone; refresh dev/test from prod data.
- Execute monthly/quarterly outages for patching, log cleanup, and PCP (Parallel Concurrent Processing) config.
Backup and Recovery:
- Schedule and monitor RMAN backups, exports/DataPump; implement Data Guard for DR and test restores.
- Develop purging/archiving strategies; enforce DR plans with failover testing.
Performance Tuning:
- Tune SQL/PLSQL queries, concurrent requests, and EBS tiers (app tier, DB tier); use traces (10046/10053), SQL profiles.
- Optimize RAC/Data Guard setups, concurrent managers, and load balancing for high availability.
WebLogic Integration (Plus):
- Administer WebLogic for R12.2 FMW stack: manage servers, connection pools, patching, and HA clustering.
- Handle OACore/Forms managed servers, session stickiness, and tuning to prevent logouts/slow forms.
