Summary

Job Title: Warehouse IT Technician
Location: Zanesville, OH 43701 (Onsite)
Job Type: Contract (3 Months with Possible Extension)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Warehouse IT Technician to provide technical support for warehouse and distribution center operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting IT infrastructure and end-user devices critical to daily warehouse activities. This role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.

The Warehouse IT Technician will collaborate with warehouse personnel, vendors, and corporate IT teams to ensure uninterrupted operation of warehouse technology systems and equipment.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide onsite IT support for warehouse associates, supervisors, and operational staff.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues.
  • Respond to technical incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
  • Support Windows-based workstations, laptops, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.

Warehouse Technology Support

  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot:
  • Handheld barcode scanners
  • Label printers and thermal printers
  • Mobile computers and tablets
  • Desktop PCs and workstations
  • Warehouse networking equipment
  • Support Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), and related operational applications.
  • Ensure optimal performance of warehouse technology used for receiving, inventory management, shipping, and fulfillment operations.

Network & Infrastructure Support

  • Assist with troubleshooting wired and wireless network connectivity issues.
  • Monitor and maintain Wi-Fi coverage and performance throughout warehouse facilities.
  • Support network devices, switches, access points, and connectivity infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with corporate IT teams on network-related escalations.

Asset Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory records for IT equipment and assets.
  • Prepare, configure, deploy, and recover IT devices.
  • Track hardware lifecycle, warranties, repairs, and replacements.
  • Coordinate with vendors for equipment servicing and procurement.

Collaboration & Documentation

  • Document incidents, resolutions, and technical procedures.
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate support teams when necessary.
  • Participate in technology improvement initiatives and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Provide end-user training and technical guidance when needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of IT Support/Desktop Support experience.
  • Experience supporting end-user devices in a warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environment.
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Windows operating systems
  • PCs and laptops
  • Printers and barcode scanners
  • Mobile and handheld devices
  • Basic understanding of:
  • TCP/IP networking
  • Wireless networking (Wi-Fi)
  • Hardware troubleshooting
  • Device deployment and configuration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Experience in logistics, distribution center, or warehouse operations.
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Control Systems (WCS).
  • Familiarity with inventory management technologies and barcode scanning systems.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors and enterprise IT teams.
