NonStop Tandem DBA SME

We are looking for an experienced NonStop Tandem DBA SME to support and manage critical HPE NonStop/Tandem database environments. The role will focus on day-to-day database administration, replication support, system monitoring, performance tuning, disaster recovery, and production support activities.

The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience working in NonStop/Tandem environments and should be comfortable supporting mission-critical systems in a 24x7 production support model.

Responsibilities:

Manage and support HPE NonStop/Tandem database environments.

Monitor and support daily replication processes using RDF and/or Oracle GoldenGate.

Support SQL/MP and Enscribe database environments.

Perform database performance monitoring, tuning, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.

Manage DB space allocation, disk configuration, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.

Support production issues and ensure high system availability.

Work with engineering and support teams during incidents, deployments, and maintenance activities.

Monitor system health using tools such as Measure, LogWatch, CMON, CMOD, Remote Analyst, and Moncom.

Support Pathway, TMF, RDF, SQL/MP, Enscribe, OSS, TACL, SCF, Safeguard, NetBatch, and related NonStop utilities.

Support connectivity components such as TCP/IP, SFTP, FTPS, TN3270, NS/JSP, iTP Webserver, and XABroker.

Maintain operational documentation, support procedures, and monthly performance reports.

Participate in on-call support and weekend maintenance activities when required.

Required Skills:

10+ years of experience in HPE NonStop/Tandem database administration or production support.

Strong experience with NonStop/Tandem systems, NSK, TACL, SCF, OSS, Expand, Pathway, TMF, RDF, SQL/MP, Enscribe, and Safeguard.

Hands-on experience with replication monitoring and support using RDF and/or Oracle GoldenGate.

Experience with monitoring tools such as Measure, LogWatch, CMON, CMOD, Remote Analyst, and Moncom.

Strong understanding of DB space allocation, disk configuration, disaster recovery, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.

Experience with NetBatch, AutoSYNC, FastComps, ODBC/MX, Spooler, StartSys, SDR, Console Operations, and related NonStop utilities.

Strong troubleshooting experience in high-availability, mission-critical production environments.

Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with support, engineering, and business teams.

Experience in banking, payments, retail, healthcare, or other high-volume transactional environments is preferred.
