Technical Project Manager (PMP Required) Data Engineering & AI Programs

Our client is seeking a certified and experienced Technical Project Manager to support a large-scale Data Engineering and AI Adoption Program. This role will lead cross-functional technical initiatives, partnering with business stakeholders, data engineers, architects, and AI teams to successfully deliver enterprise technology solutions.

Qualifications

  • Current PMP certification REQUIRED (must be listed on resume; proof may be requested)
  • Additional certifications such as PgMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, TOGAF, Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform are a plus
  • 10+ years of Technical Project Management experience leading enterprise technology projects
  • Experience managing data engineering, data warehousing, business intelligence, analytics, or cloud-based initiatives
  • Strong understanding of SQL, enterprise data platforms, and cloud technologies
  • Experience managing project scope, budgets, timelines, resources, risks, and executive reporting
  • Proficiency with Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar project management tools
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams
  • Healthcare data experience is highly preferred; familiarity with FHIR, HL7, and CCDA is a plus
  • Some experience supporting AI, machine learning, advanced analytics, or digital transformation initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex technical projects
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across business, engineering, data, and AI organizations
  • Manage project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, and deliverables
  • Facilitate requirements gathering, project planning, status reporting, and stakeholder communications
  • Support cloud, data engineering, analytics, and AI initiatives while ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Drive project execution from planning through implementation while ensuring successful delivery
