Summary

Mainframe Data Conversion Lead – Salesforce Modernization

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid – Local Candidates Only)

Job Type: Contract

Duration: 6 months

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Data Conversion Lead to drive complex legacy data migration initiatives from IBM Mainframe environments into Salesforce platforms. This hybrid role requires onsite presence once per week and is open to local candidates only.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in IBM mainframe technologies, large-scale data conversion strategies, Informatica ETL development, SQL Server staging environments, and Salesforce data migration frameworks. The role will lead end-to-end data conversion activities including discovery, mapping, transformation, cleansing, reconciliation, cutover, and post-go-live support.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience in Data Integration, ETL, or Data Conversion projects.
5+ years of hands-on experience leading Mainframe-to-Modern Platform migration initiatives.
Strong expertise with IBM Mainframe technologies:

z/OS
DB2
VSAM
IMS
COBOL
JCL

Expert-level experience with Informatica IICS and/or PowerCenter.
Strong SQL Server development experience including:

T-SQL
Stored Procedures
Data transformation
Query optimization
Performance tuning

Proven experience with Salesforce data migration and integration.
Deep understanding of:

Data modeling
Relational and hierarchical data structures
Mainframe-to-relational conversion methodologies
Data quality frameworks

Experience supporting enterprise-scale legacy modernization initiatives.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently while leading cross-functional technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud implementations.
Prior experience in enterprise modernization or digital transformation programs.
Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
