Job Title: Staff Civil Designer
Location: Kansas City, Missouri (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team in delivering civil design projects that drive development for a diverse range of clients and sites. Our team values analytical expertise, technical proficiency, and collaborative spirit as we strive to maintain high standards in both design execution and communication.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop civil engineering projects, including site layout, storm drainage systems, sanitary sewer utilities, and facility improvements for a variety of project types.
Interpret and incorporate design codes, specifications, and topographical data into comprehensive construction documentation and environmental plans.
Review, refine, and revise drawings; analyze reports, map data, and calculations to ensure quality and compliance with project criteria.
Collaborate with engineers and designers across multiple disciplines to resolve design challenges and maintain logical project information storage.
Required:
Bachelor s degree in drafting technology or related field and 7 years of relevant experience, or Associate s degree and 8 years of relevant experience, or 9 years of progressive detailing and design experience.
Expertise in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Excel for developing high-quality design deliverables.
Strong understanding of civil engineering theory, design calculations, and related design systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary project environments.
