Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Specialist supports the development and implementation of effective quality methods and procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of products and services. This role performs material inspections, reviews quality requirements, supports supplier shipment approvals, and resolves quality issues through structured problem-solving. The position works closely with suppliers and internal quality teams to maintain product quality and support customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform material inspections at supplier facilities to verify quality and conformance requirements.
• Review and approve materials for release and shipment based on established quality specifications.
• Document inspection results, shipment information, photographs, and other quality data.
• Investigate rejected shipments and identify root causes of quality issues.
• Apply structured problem-solving methods to resolve material and process quality concerns.
• Review and coordinate quality assurance and quality control specifications.
• Develop, evaluate, and maintain quality programs and procedures.
• Measure and monitor quality activities and recommend improvements.
• Recommend and implement measures to improve the effectiveness of quality operations.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal quality teams to address quality concerns.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate quality documentation and records.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, manufacturing quality, or a related field.
• Material inspection experience required.
• Knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes required.
• Strong problem-solving skills required.
• Ability to inspect materials and identify defects or quality issues.
• Ability to analyze quality data and determine appropriate corrective actions.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
• Ability to travel to other manufacturing locations as needed.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Gastonia, NC.

Education

• Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field required.

Work Experience

• 2-3 years of relevant quality or manufacturing experience required.
• Experience with material inspection preferred.
• Experience with sheet metal manufacturing processes preferred.
