QA automation

New York, New York ( 2 days a week)

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts for web using Selenium, UFT, Tosca, or similar tools.
Build and maintain modular, reusable automation frameworks (BDD, Hybrid, Data‑Driven).
Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, any).
Execute functional, integration, regression, and end‑to‑end testing across environments.
Collaborate with developers, product owners, DevOps, and business teams to ensure quality delivery.
Analyze failures, perform root‑cause analysis, and work with engineering teams to resolve defects.
Participate in Agile ceremonies (planning, grooming, stand‑ups, retrospectives).
Support environment readiness, test data creation, and environment validation.
Provide clear status updates highlighting risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to QA standards, documentation, and best practices.
Guide automation strategy—what to automate, when, and how—based on business risk and timelines.

Required Skills & Experience

8–10+ years of hands‑on QA automation experience.
Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar languages.
Deep experience with Selenium WebDriver, Tosca, UFT, or equivalent tools.
Proven ability to build scalable automation frameworks and reusable components.
Solid API testing experience (Postman, RestAssured, etc.).
Experience with CI/CD, Git, and test management tools (qTest, Jira, Azure DevOps).
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work independently in an onshore role with full ownership of deliverables.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
