Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Interior Design Senior Manager for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Hospitality clients in Parsippany, NY(Hybrid).
35 hour work week

The Role:
Our client is seeking a Senior Manager, Interior Design to join our dynamic Architecture, Design, and Construction (AD&C) team. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the interior design review process across multiple brands, guiding franchisees and internal stakeholders, and ensuring alignment with brand standards and strategic design objectives. As a senior manager, you will serve as a key advisor and liaison between hotel owners, interior designers, and the Client's internal teams. You'll bring deep hospitality design expertise, strong technical acumen, and a collaborative mindset to drive design excellence across our portfolio.

Responsibilities:
Strategic Design Oversight
  • Lead the review and approval of interior design submittals for brand compliance and quality.
  • Provide high-level design guidance to franchisees and their consultants, ensuring alignment with brand vision.
  • Interpret brand standards and design guidelines in collaboration with Brand and Development teams.
  • Oversee FF&E and finish selections to ensure consistency and operational efficiencies.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as the senior point of contact for owners, developers, and franchisees throughout the design process.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with Brand, Sourcing, and Development teams to resolve design challenges.
  • Represent the AD&C team in meetings and presentations.
  • Travel 20% to properties and project sites to support design execution and compliance.
Project & Process Management
  • Oversee tracking and reporting of design submittals, approvals, and project milestones.
  • Ensure timely and organized communication across all design review activities.
  • Lead updates to brand design standards and documentation, incorporating industry trends and feedback.
Technical & Design Expertise
  • Provide senior-level guidance on space planning, finishes, and FF&E specifications.
  • Ensure all designs meet operational, safety, and durability requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of hospitality design trends, materials, and innovations.
Required Skills:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years in hospitality design, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Expert knowledge of hospitality design standards and brand compliance.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit, Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, PowerPoint, Excel, and DesignSpec.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and influence cross-functional teams.
