MF Utilities Developer

The client is looking for someone for an MF Utilities Developer who is particularly strong with REXX programming.

Role: MF Utilities Developer

Location: Phoenix, AZ metro area; hybrid working model

Start date: 1^st week of July

Job description:

• Ability to learn, adapt, and innovate on your own, with strong knowledge of Agile development practices.
• Good communication skills, both written and oral, are required, as the individual must interface with application developers, support teams, software vendors, and management staff.
• Basic knowledge and/or experience with Mainframe z/OS, JCL, TSO, and ISPF.
• Developer background to aid with service ticket resolution from the user perspective.
• Ability to work closely with internal user clients to resolve issues.
• Mid-level knowledge of IBM Utilities i.e. IEBCOPY, IEBGENER, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Vendor software tool administrator for BMC DevX Code Pipeline/ISPW, BMC Topaz Workbench, IBM IDz v17.*, and CA-JCLCHECK.
• Demonstrate technical expertise and knowledge.
• Lead resolution processes for complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
• Develop technical solutions, automate processes, and lead individual or small team initiatives.
• Communicate across various audiences, including technical, managerial, and vendors.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and be required to provide off-hours support as necessary.

Preferred Job Skills:

• Minimum 7 - 10 years of experience in Information Technology
• Experience with: Mainframe z/OS and Horizon platforms, z/OS USS, z/OS Connect, Jenkins, Ansible, IDZ and/or Eclipse based software.
