Role Overview
This position is responsible for Data Center Engineering Facility Operations within a data center. The role includes risk management and mitigation, corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor management, and metric reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage on-site shift technicians, senior shift technicians, sub-contractors, and vendors to ensure all work adheres to established practices.
- Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on critical facility operations and maintenance.
- Coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency.
- Operate and manage routine and emergency services on critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, and power distribution equipment.
- Serve as the first escalation point for all facilities-related issues involving mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) items.
- Oversee maintenance and operations on all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment using detailed technical procedures.
- Manage and respond to the ticketing queue based on priority and assessed risk.
- Perform routine equipment and site monitoring using Building Maintenance System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS).
- Assist in projects to increase current facility efficiency and support the design of new facilities.
- Handle asset and inventory management responsibilities.
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated pay range for this position is $30.00 to $36.00 per hour. A comprehensive benefits package is available to eligible employees.
