Project Manager (Manufacturing Domain)

Role: Project Manager – Manufacturing
Work location: Salt Lake City, UT (3 days onsite and 2 days remote work per week)

Role Summary

The Project Manager will lead end-to-end projects including new product introduction, automation deployment, equipment commissioning, and process improvement initiatives, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

Plan and manage end-to-end project using Microsoft Project / Primavera for scheduling and tracking
Develop project plans, WBS, Gantt charts, and milestone trackers
Manage scope, risks, issues, and dependencies using RAID logs and change control processes
Track project cost, schedule performance, and resource utilization using Earned Value Management (EVM)
Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, production, quality, supply chain, and vendors
Drive stakeholder communication using structured status reporting dashboards and governance reviews
Support equipment installation, line setup, and production readiness activities
Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and manufacturing quality standards
Monitor project KPIs against schedule baseline and cost baseline
 

Required Skills

Strong project planning and stakeholder coordination capability
Experience delivering projects in manufacturing/mining environments
Budget tracking and vendor management experience
Familiarity with ERP / MES platforms (e.g., SAP)
Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma practices preferred
PMP Certification is Mandatory
