Esri ArcGIS Developer 2 Job Summary Client is seeking a technical GIS Developer for configuring and developing custom Esri ArcGIS Enterprise 11x/12x, ArcGIS Maps SDK, Experience Builder, ArcGIS Portal/Online/Hub, and Field Maps applications. Applications are deployed within SharePoint websites and integrated with .NET applications, Oracle/Oracle Exadata, SQL Server Data Warehouse, OBIEE, Data Visualizer, and Power BI environments.
The candidate should have experience in application programming, development, implementation, and support. The role involves designing, coding, testing, debugging, and maintaining secure and scalable GIS solutions.
Responsibilities - Design and develop customized web, mobile, and enterprise GIS applications
- Develop geoprocessing and GIS web services
- Build GIS web editing and mapping applications
- Perform unit, integration, system, and QA testing
- Maintain and upgrade existing GIS applications and services
- Implement data and system security controls
- Document GIS solutions and technical artifacts
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and project teams
- Automate data processing using ETL scripts
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex GIS support issues
- Provide technical guidance and mentor GIS staff
Team Environment The Enterprise GIS Team includes:
- 1 Support Analyst
- 2 ArcGIS Developers
- 2 System Administrators
- 1 Data Manager
- 1 Team Leader
The team supports over 180 ArcGIS Desktop users and approximately 60,000 annual ArcGIS Server web visits.
Work Terms and Conditions - 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- 8-hour fixed schedule between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM Eastern Time start
- Hybrid work schedule preferred
- Local candidates preferred over remote candidates
- Must comply with Client policies and telework requirements
- Reliable internet connection required for remote work
- Consultant must have a cell phone for business communication
- No free parking provided
- No extended leave during the first year without approval
Additional Information The contract is currently set through the end of the Client Fiscal Year, with potential yearly extensions based on performance and project needs.
