Description
Required Qualifications 3-5 years of hands-on experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing telecommunications systems, including digital microwave, fiber optic networks, LANs, voice systems, and wireless data communications. Understanding of telecom, wireless, data, and voice network topologies and how they interface with one another. Ability to troubleshoot and repair hardware and software associated with personal computers, peripheral devices, telecommunications systems, alarm systems, and DC power systems. Knowledge of PC hardware, operating systems, software components, and troubleshooting techniques for voice and data wireless systems. Experience racking and stacking network and telecom equipment. Strong personal computer skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Good verbal and written communication skills, along with solid time management and organizational skills. ***Job Responsibilities Support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of data and telecommunications transport networks. Provide project support for telecom field operations work. Coordinate with internal business partners, vendors, contractors, and other technical groups on installations and issue resolution. Escort tower crews and external contractors to telecom sites as needed. Maintain accurate circuit records, equipment inventories, and site documentation. Install standard, endorsed, or certified off-the-shelf hardware and software devices. Follow safe work practices and manage multiple assignments effectively.
