responsibilities:

  • Works on development projects of varying magnitude and help to ensure the testing and implementation are both timely and are satisfactory to management and users.
  • Assists in the use of standard test methodology, executes test scripts, tests cases and ad hoc testing; assists in project defect tracking and reporting and performs testing admin tasks.
  • Uses standard methodologies to support the delivery of quality products that meet client specifications with minimum defects, on-time, and on-budget.
  • Adheres to quality assurance milestones outlined for projects and executes the identified activities and processes to ensure compliance.
  • Participates on teams in requirements gathering, designs reviews and creation of detailed testing scripts and test cases.
  • Assists with coordination and execution of multi-phase testing including integration, system, performance and user acceptance testing, performing on-going regression testing across multiple applications and systems.
  • Maintains testing database by executing or performing defect tracking and regression testing to meet testing requirements.
  • Assists in or report test outcomes by collecting, analyzing, interpreting, summarizing, and displaying data.
  • Develops and coordinates the Test Plan/Strategy for assigned testing efforts.
  • Documents issues and tracks status in designated systems and tools to track outcomes.
  • Organizes and assigns testing assignments to the test team and ensures that deadlines are met.




qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Business or comparable education and/or experience.


Minimum of three (3) years working experience with software development lifecycle and quality assurance principles and methodologies.


Strong knowledge of structured environments for development, test and production.


Expert Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Microsoft Project or similar tools experience.


Highly independent and able to work in a team environment, meet deadlines and take on responsibility and accountability.


Excellent interpersonal, analytical, written and verbal communication skills.


Must be analytical and detail oriented.


Ideal Candidate Will Have


Experience with test management and testing tools such as HP ALM (Quality Center) or equivalent.


Self-motivated and ability to motivate others.


Strong organization skills and attention to detail.


Identify opportunities to maximize operational efficiencies.


Experience in project management and ability to work with minimal supervision.


Additional Job Responsibilities


Utilizes QA software methodologies to support the delivery of quality products that meet client specifications with minimum defects, on-time, and on-budget.


Participate in post implementation validation or testing support with the Line of Business.


Assist with the training for testers on all systems, applications, and tools used for QA operations and project testing requirements.


Remain up-to-date of credit union policies, procedures, products and practices.
