Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Application Monitoring Specialist to join our IT operations team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL, PowerShell scripting, application performance monitoring tools, .NET architecture, and IT infrastructure management. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement, configure, and maintain application performance monitoring (APM) tools to proactively identify and resolve issues.
Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate monitoring, reporting, and system administration tasks.
Analyze application logs, metrics, and traces to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and errors.
Collaborate with development teams to optimize applications built on .NET architecture.
Design and execute SQL queries for performance analysis, data validation, and monitoring dashboards.
Ensure high availability and reliability of applications by monitoring IT infrastructure components (servers, databases, networks).
Provide detailed incident reports and recommend preventive measures to reduce downtime.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in monitoring processes and tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong proficiency in SQL (queries, stored procedures, performance tuning).
Hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and monitoring.
Expertise in application performance monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, or similar).
Solid understanding of .NET architecture and application lifecycle management.
Knowledge of IT infrastructure (Windows/Linux servers, networking, cloud environments).
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Exposure to incident management frameworks (ITIL, ServiceNow).
