Job Title: Systems Analyst

Location: Austin, Texas - Hybrid

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Systems Analyst with strong analytical and technical expertise to support complex system analysis and reliability initiatives. The ideal candidate will understand business objectives, identify alternative solutions, and perform cost/benefit analysis while working closely with cross-functional teams.

This role requires independent execution of complex tasks, applying sound judgment, creativity, and technical depth to improve and automate existing systems. The candidate will also contribute to system reliability, availability, and performance by collaborating with engineering and operations teams.



Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements, processes, and system workflows to identify improvement opportunities
  • Perform cost/benefit analysis and recommend optimal technical solutions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document detailed user requirements
  • Evaluate system capabilities, limitations, and feasibility of enhancements
  • Develop detailed functional specifications and system documentation
  • Partner with development and operations teams to improve system reliability and performance
  • Support incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and system enhancements
  • Contribute to automation and optimization of system processes
  • Ensure compliance with security, data privacy, and governance standards
  • Participate in testing, validation, and deployment activities



Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Systems Analysis, SRE, DevOps, or related roles
  • Strong experience with Linux/Unix systems and system internals
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or Bash scripting
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform
  • Hands-on experience with distributed systems and application support
  • Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks
  • Experience with incident management and root cause analysis
  • Understanding of SLAs, SLIs, and SLOs
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills



Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or Splunk
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience working in 24x7 production environments
  • Exposure to automation, resiliency testing, and performance optimization
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
