Job Description: Lead Software Engineer – Full Stack (Java, Go)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer – Full Stack with strong experience in Java and Go to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and backend services. The role will provide technical leadership, drive engineering best practices, and work closely with product and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications using Java and Go.
• Build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services and APIs.
• Develop responsive and user-friendly frontend applications.
• Lead technical design and architecture discussions.
• Review code and ensure adherence to coding and engineering standards.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and other teams to deliver projects.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive root-cause resolution.
• Participate in system design, performance optimization, and scalability initiatives.
• Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and functional tests.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and production releases.
• Identify opportunities to improve application performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend appropriate solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Go (Golang).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience with frontend technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Angular, or similar.
• Good knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Git and modern software development practices.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Kafka or other messaging technologies.
• Familiarity with system monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
• Experience designing high-availability and highly scalable systems.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
