Role Overview
As a Systems Integration & Test Engineer, you will plan and execute testing for complex systems and subsystems. You'll turn technical requirements into practical test approaches, work hands-on with hardware, and help ensure systems perform as expected-from early integration through final validation.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
Create and maintain test plans, procedures, and documentation
Translate requirements into clear, executable test strategies
Support system integration by defining specifications and resolving interface issues
Lead and support test execution, including setup, scheduling, and reporting
Analyze results and document system performance
Identify issues, write discrepancy reports, and support resolution
Perform regression testing to confirm fixes
Coordinate testing activities across teams and programs
Work directly with hardware in lab and integration environments
Work Environment
Hands-on role in labs, test facilities, and integration sites
Team-based environment with close collaboration across engineering groups
Fast-paced work tied to program milestones and test schedules
May require flexibility in hours during key testing periods

Basic Qualifications
Candidates must meet all of the following:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field such as Electrical and Computer Engineering
Hands-on experience with system or subsystem testing
Experience using radio frequency (RF) test equipment and hardware
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
Willingness to support testing needs that may include extended hours or alternate shifts
Desired skills
These are not required but will strengthen your application:
1-2+ years of related professional experience
Certified Test Conductor (CTC) or similar certification
Experience with test automation or integration of lab, ground, or flight hardware
Knowledge of RF components (e.g., antennas, receivers, amplifiers)
Experience integrating or troubleshooting commercial or government off-the-shelf components (COTS/GOTS)
Familiarity with test instrumentation, data collection, and control systems
Background in aerospace, defense, or similar system-level testing environments
Comfortable working in collaborative teams and adapting to changing priorities
Ability to travel occasionally, if needed

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $73,400 - $129,260. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $84,300 - $146,165. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
