Senior DevSecOps Engineer

Key Qualifications:

A strong background supporting software delivery teams through automation and reliability engineering, including ownership of build/test/deploy workflows.

Practical experience building and tuning CI/CD pipelines in GitLab or a comparable automation ecosystem

Direct involvement with security validation tools for code, dependencies, and containers, including the ability to interpret scan feedback and drive remediation

Ability to script and automate operational or security tasks using languages such as Python or Bash.

Eligibility to work on projects requiring U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.

Availability for a one-time in-person identity verification (travel costs covered).

Role Overview

We're searching for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer who can strengthen security practices across several agile engineering groups. You'll play a central role in shaping how development teams incorporate automated safeguards into their build and deployment pipelines. The role is highly interactive and technical-ideal for someone who prefers coding, troubleshooting, and creating durable solutions over advisory-only work.

What You'll Work On

You'll develop and refine automated checks within CI/CD pipelines, introduce improvements to container and IaC validation, and help engineering teams understand and resolve findings from various security tools. Expect to build templates, scripts, and lightweight frameworks that simplify adoption across multiple teams. The work spans cloud-based systems, modern data platforms, and collaboration with distributed engineers across U.S. time zones.

What You Bring

Experience creating or improving build pipelines and release workflows within Git-based environments.

Familiarity with security assessment tools used for source code, open-source libraries, and container images-such as Semgrep, NexusIQ/Sonatype, Snyk, Trivy, ZAP, or similar options.

Comfortable working with Terraform and container platforms like Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.

Clear communication skills and the ability to work closely with developers, offering guidance and sharing best practices.

Cloud experience (AWS is especially helpful) and the ability to collaborate across multiple time zones.
