Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced IBM MQ & Confluent Kafka Administrator to join the Consumer Small Business & Wealth (CBWT) Messaging Team. The selected candidate will support Kafka, IIS, and IBM MQ initiatives, including platform administration, SSL/TLS configuration, troubleshooting, and production support activities.

Responsibilities:

Install, configure, administer, and upgrade IBM MQ and Confluent Kafka environments.
Design, implement, and troubleshoot SSL/TLS configurations for Kafka and MQ platforms.
Manage and support IBM MQ queue managers, clusters, channels, and messaging infrastructure.
Provide production and test environment support, ensuring platform stability and performance.
Monitor messaging platforms using observability tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Troubleshoot messaging, connectivity, security, and performance-related issues.
Collaborate with application teams, infrastructure teams, and security teams on messaging solutions and enhancements.

Required Skills:

5+ years of IBM MQ Administration experience.
3+ years of Confluent Kafka Administration experience.
Strong experience with IBM MQ clustering.
Hands-on experience with MQ SSL/TLS certificates and security configurations.
Experience installing, configuring, and upgrading IBM MQ and Confluent Kafka.
Knowledge of IIS and messaging platform integrations.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Strong troubleshooting and production support experience.
