Job Description
We are seeking a JavaScript Engineer (Node.js/React) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Node.js, React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript tooling and a proven ability to design reusable frameworks, deliver high-performance web solutions, and enable large engineering communities through training and support.
Responsibilities:
- Develop an open-source, enterprise web framework.
- Provide framework support and deliver training to 1,000+ engineers.
- Design intuitive, functional, and extensible APIs.
- Build cross-platform components and libraries for reuse and open source.
- Optimize software performance across devices, browsers, and servers.
- Automate builds, testing, deployments, and manual processes.
- Review pull requests and identify potential breaking changes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, TypeScript, and React, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
- Knowledge of Accessibility and Web Standards.
- Understanding of React core principles and newer ECMAScript specifications.
- Experience with JavaScript tooling such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, and Yarn.
- Experience writing automated tests, including unit, integration, visual, and performance testing.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, with benchmarking and optimization capability.
- Problem-solving aptitude with a focus on simple solutions to complex problems and forward-thinking design for enterprise use.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for training and enablement.
- Open-source mindset with understanding of modularization and reusable libraries.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience architecting and building high-performance, high-quality software for enterprise scale.
- Prior OSS contributions or authorship of libraries used beyond a single application.
