Summary

Role: UFT/QTP Automation Architect – Oracle EBS Financials

Location: USA (Remote)

Required Qualifications

6+ years of hands-on experience with UFT/QTP for functional test automation (VBScript scripting required)
3+ years of experience testing Oracle E-Business Suite, specifically Financials modules: Purchasing (PO), Payables (AP); General Ledger (GL) a plus
Experience automating both Oracle Forms-based screens and OAF/HTML self-service pages within EBS (these require different UFT handling approaches)
Working knowledge of Oracle Workflow (notifications, approval hierarchies, WF_* tables) is a strong plus, especially for validating approval audit trails
Solid SQL skills for backend data validation and test data setup in Oracle databases
Familiarity with test management tools (ALM/Quality Center, Jira/Zephyr, or similar)
Understanding of SDLC/STLC, defect lifecycle management, and regression test strategy
Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot automation script failures
Financial background is must

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to Oracle Cloud/Fusion Financials automation (for organizations mid-migration) is a plus
Experience integrating UFT with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
Prior experience in public sector / federal government financial systems environments (given the Federal Financials scope)
Familiarity with VBScript object repositories, descriptive programming, and building reusable function libraries for large-scale EBS automation
Experience automating interface/batch job validation (concurrent programs, archive/audit processes) in addition to UI flows

Soft Skills

Ability to work closely with functional SMEs to understand complex federal financial business rules
Strong written communication for defect documentation and test evidence in regulated/audited environments
Comfortable working within structured change control and fast-paced timelines
