Sr. Manager, Process Engineering

Cooling performance limits AI infrastructure, semiconductor equipment, photonics, power electronics, defense systems, and other high-poweredcomputeapplications.JCIaddresses these constraints with advanced thermal management components enabled by its Stack Forging? process, which creates single-piece, leak-tight metal parts with complex internal microgeometries for stronger cooling performance, lower pressuredrop, and high reliability.

This rolegenerally requires4 days onsite per week.

As the manager of the Process Engineering team atJCI, you willbe responsible forall aspects of process development and maintenance relating to the Stack Forging process. You will be expected to have a point of view on a range of disciplines spanning process control, metallurgy, machinery controls, chemistry, and experimental design. You willbe responsible forsubstantially growingthe process team whilemaintaininga healthy team culture

Responsibilities

  • Hiring and Onboarding- Rapidly grow the process engineering team whilemaintaininga healthy culture and technical excellence

  • Mentorship-Lead and mentor the process engineering team to develop core engineering and process development skills, ensuring technical excellence and continuous growth.

  • Technical Leadership- Run andparticipatein cross-disciplinary project teams working to address technical challenges or improve

  • TechnologyRoadmappingand Stakeholder Management- Manage the roadmap forJCI?score process technologies, taking input from a wide range of stakeholders (spanning production technicians to commercial executives) and crafting a technology roadmap that creates meaningful business value with the team?s resources on a reasonable timescale.

Qualifications

  • ABachelor?s degreein Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, ora relatedtechnical discipline.

  • 8+ years of relevant experiencein an engineering discipline, ideally within a complex manufacturing or process-intensive environment.

  • 2+ years of proven experiencemanaging and leading a technical engineering team

  • Demonstrated experiencewith key manufacturing process development tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, FMEA, SPC, or MSA).

  • Exceptional communication and technical presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse stakeholders (e.g., technicians, executives, and customers).

Preferred Skills

  • An advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.)in a relevant engineering or scientific field.

  • Deepexpertisein one or more core process disciplines: process control, experimental design (DOE), or metallurgy, chemistry, manufacturing, or 3D printing.

  • Technical backgroundor direct experience with laser processing, complex metal forming, or high-volume manufacturing readiness for advanced materials.

  • Experience in metal additive manufacturing, specialized forming processes, or thermal management systems

  • Experience with high-volume manufacturing, knowledge of what it takes to tweak a process or part to make 10,000?s of a part per year

  • Proven ability to translatecomplex technical challenges into clear project scopes and business-aligned technology roadmaps.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $140000 - $155000. Salary to be determined by the education, experience,knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with marketdata. This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
