Job Description:
Pay Range: $60hr - $65hr
  • The Senior Application Developer Informatica ETL is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL workflows and data warehouse solutions.
  • This role collaborates with business analysts and insurance stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions while ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and performance optimization.
  • The position may also include team leadership responsibilities, including mentoring developers and coordinating cross-functional activities.
Experience:
  • 5 10+ years of hands-on experience in Informatica ETL development.
  • Experience working in the insurance domain with knowledge of policy, claims, and regulatory data.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter or Informatica IICS.
  • Build and optimize data pipelines on Yellowbrick or similar MPP data warehouse platforms.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and insurance stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with insurance regulatory standards.
  • Perform performance tuning and troubleshooting of ETL jobs and SQL queries.
  • Document ETL processes, data mappings, and system configurations.
  • Provide production support and resolve data-related issues promptly.
  • Lead and mentor a team of ETL and data warehouse developers, if applicable.
  • Allocate tasks, manage workloads, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards and best practices.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
  • Act as a point of escalation for technical and delivery challenges.
Should Have:
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure and cloud-native data tools.
  • Experience with data governance and compliance frameworks.
  • Insurance certifications or domain-specific training.
Skills:
  • Strong experience with Yellowbrick or similar MPP data warehouse platforms.
  • Proficiency in SQL, data profiling, and performance optimization.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
