Job Title: Summit Developer

Location: McLean, VA

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Summit Developer to design, develop, and support applications built on the Summit platform within an enterprise/insurance environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on development experience, solid understanding of business workflows, and the ability to work closely with business analysts, QA, and infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and enhance applications using the Summit platform
Customize Summit modules to meet business and functional requirements
Develop and maintain business rules, workflows, integrations, and reports
Collaborate with Business Analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions
Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning
Support production issues and provide root-cause analysis
Participate in code reviews and follow best development practices
Work closely with QA teams during system and UAT testing
Ensure compliance with security, performance, and coding standards
Document technical designs, configurations, and development artifacts

Required Skills & Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Summit Developer / Summit Engineer
Strong hands-on experience with:
- Summit application development & customization
- Business rules and workflow configuration
- Summit UI and backend components
Proficiency in Java / JavaScript / SQL (as applicable to Summit)
Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and system integrations
Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
Ability to troubleshoot complex application issues
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
