The Vice President, Quality & Engineering leads the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of the organization's Quality and Engineering functions. This role drives operational excellence through technology adoption, efficient value-added service (VAS) engineering, and a proactive quality program designed to improve yield, reduce cost, and enhance customer satisfaction. The VP partners closely with site leaders, Supply Chain teams, Account Management, clients, and senior leadership to elevate performance, strengthen compliance, and support scalable growth.
This is an onsite role in our Lewisville TX or Mt Juliet TN facilities with up to 30% travel.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job? - Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, driving cost reduction, operational performance, and client engagement
- Develop and manage departmental budgets aligned with approved business plans
- Provide transformational leadership to 100+ employees, building a high-performing Engineering and Quality organization
- Mentor, develop, and coach team members to elevate expertise, execution, and accountability
- Lead engineering services including development, installation, automation, and support of new and existing processes
- Oversee new product introduction (NPI) activities, acting as the primary point of contact for all engineering and customer deliverables
- Coordinate core NPI tasks including: BOM setup, Golden sample management, Material sourcing and approval, System and test setup, Work instruction creation, Kitting and labeling processes, & First article inspection
- Implement and optimize value-added services with a focus on throughput, quality, and cost efficiency
- Support product development teams with new product launches and process enhancements
- Lead the Quality System, including document control, LEAN process management, CAPA, customer communication, and audit readiness
- Establish and enforce quality assurance standards, metrics, and controls
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing yield, UPH, and overall operational efficiency
- Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to repair, logistics, and quality assurance programs
- Direct teams responsible for Quality Control, Auditing, and CAPA management; partner cross-functionally to resolve audit and CAPA findings
- Support site-wide LEAN initiatives and training programs
- Collaborate with Corporate Compliance to implement recommended changes
- Serve as a liaison with Account Management to resolve operational, product, client, and system issues
- Build strong relationships with customer counterparts to drive quality and engineering outcomes
- Partner with internal teams-including Supply Chain, Operations, and Product Development-to align engineering and quality with business objectives
- Communicate results, insights, and improvement plans to senior leadership, clients, and vendors
What are the requirements needed for this position? - 8+ years of progressive leadership in engineering, quality, product development, electronics, or test operations within the electronics industry
- 5+ years managing teams of 40+ employees in a high-volume, complex environment
- Experience managing complex processes, demanding stakeholders, and cross-functional initiatives
- 5+ years in auditing, insurance systems, or end-to-end operations with strong product knowledge
- Proven problem-resolution skills and strong technical, systems, and applied engineering knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proven success meeting deadlines and driving execution
- Ability to write, implement, and manage policies and procedures
- Strong influencing, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to provide constructive feedback and work across diverse technical disciplines
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adjust to shifting priorities
- Ability to plan and execute audits
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have? - Master's degree in Engineering
- Internal Auditor certification (ASQ, IIA, CIA)
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Visio, and advanced Excel
- Experience with Minitab, Raosoft, or other statistical analysis tools
- Working knowledge of database and query tools (Access, Cognos, SQL, etc.)

Pay Range:
$201,100.00 - $335,800.00
Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
