Role: Duck Creek Product Owner – P&C Insurance Domain
Location: Princeton, NJ

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Duck Creek Product Owner with strong Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain expertise and deep hands-on knowledge of Duck Creek platforms.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 12+ years of overall IT experience
  • At least 8+ years of hands-on experience with Duck Creek
  • Strong experience across:
    • Duck Creek Policy
    • Billing
    • Claims
    • Integrations
  • Deep understanding of P&C insurance workflows, product modeling, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum and SAFe delivery environments

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Strategy

  • Own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for Duck Creek platforms
  • Translate business strategies into:
    • Epics
    • User stories
    • Acceptance criteria
  • Align business requirements with Duck Creek platform capabilities
  • Serve as the primary business owner and decision-maker for product scope, priorities, and design

Agile Delivery & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead:
    • Backlog grooming
    • Sprint planning
    • Release planning
  • Collaborate closely with:
    • Delivery Leads
    • Architects
    • Developers
    • QA teams
    • Business stakeholders
  • Manage dependencies, risks, and trade-offs to maximize delivery value and predictability

Duck Creek Platform Expertise

  • Ensure optimal use of Duck Creek configuration over customization, following platform best practices
  • Provide functional guidance on workflows, integrations, and policy lifecycle management
  • Support:
    • UAT coordination
    • Defect triage
    • Release readiness activities

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through:
    • Metrics and reporting
    • Stakeholder feedback
    • Value realization tracking
  • Ensure delivered solutions align with business goals and operational efficiency objectives
