Job Title: Senior Business Systems Analyst

Position Overview
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs to formulate systems paralleling overall business strategies. Experienced in business process reengineering, identifying new technology applications for business problems, industry-standard business process mapping/reengineering, preparing solution options, risk identification, financial analyses (cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build), and writing detailed user needs/program functions. 8+ years experience, works independently with wide creativity/latitude. Minimum 5 years as liaison between business community and IT teams (Architecture, Project Delivery, Application Sustain). Strong Data Analyst skills (raw data analysis) and Business Analyst skills (requirements gathering, technology understanding, project management).
Key Responsibilities
- Review/analyze/evaluate business systems and user needs
- Formulate systems aligned with business strategies
- Conduct business process reengineering and technology opportunity identification
- Prepare solution options, risk assessments, financial analyses
- Document detailed user needs, program functions, development steps
- Serve as liaison between business and IT teams
- Participate in software development reviews, provide analysis/design/test guidance
- Perform/participate in unit testing, system testing, UAT
Candidate Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Requirements (8+ Years Experience)
- Extensive experience reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs.
- Thorough understanding of business analysis areas of knowledge and associated tasks.
- Experience participating in software development reviews and providing advice/assistance in analysis, design, and test.
- Experience performing/participating in unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Extensive skill in planning/organizing work to meet goals and handle multiple assignments.
- Thorough knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies.
- Extensive skill in effective verbal/written communication with IT, business professionals, and clients.
Preferred Qualifications (8+ Years Experience)
- Experience with implementation of case management systems.
- Experience with Jira project management software.
