Role: Senior Python Developer – Azure & API Development

Location: Malvern, PA – Hybrid (3 Days per week from office)

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Python Developer with strong hands-on experience building APIs and cloud-based applications on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will focus primarily on Python development while working with Azure services to build scalable, secure, and reliable applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Build scalable backend solutions using Python, FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Develop and integrate APIs on Microsoft Azure, including Azure API Management (APIM).
• Develop serverless applications using Azure Functions with Python.
• Implement asynchronous and event-driven solutions using Azure Service Bus, Storage Queues, and Event Grid.
• Work with Azure SQL Database and Cosmos DB for application data.
• Implement secure applications using Azure Key Vault, Managed Identity, and RBAC.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes/AKS as needed.
• Write clean, reusable, testable, and production-quality Python code.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, product owners, and business teams to deliver cloud-based solutions.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on Python development experience.
• Strong experience developing REST APIs / Web APIs / Microservices using Python.
• Experience with FastAPI, Flask, Django, or similar Python frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Azure Functions and Azure API Management (APIM).
• Experience with Azure Service Bus, Queues, or Event Grid.
• Experience with Azure SQL and/or Cosmos DB.
• Knowledge of Key Vault, Managed Identity, and RBAC.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes/AKS, and Infrastructure as Code is preferred.
• Strong understanding of API design, authentication, integration patterns, security, scalability, and cloud-native development.

Preferred:

• Azure certifications such as AZ-204, AZ-305, or AZ-104.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
