Summary

Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Azure Release Engineer to join our team. Under the guidance of the Azure Product Owner and Platform team, this Release Engineer will focus on executing and improving the release process for our Azure Platform and application team landing zones. The ideal candidate will have a strong in Infrastructure as Code, automation, and cloud technologies, with a particular focus on Azure, Ansible Automation Platform, Terraform, and Python.
Key Responsibilitiesazure
1. Manage the end-to-end release process for Azure Platform and application team landing zones
2. Quickly learn and master the current release process (Ansible, Terraform, Python), while continuously identifying areas for improvement
3. Develop, maintain, and enhance the current Ansible playbooks for automated deployments
4. Develop, maintain, and enhance Terraform code used in the deployment
5. Troubleshoot and optimize Python code used in the deployment process
6. Implement and maintain robust testing procedures for the release process
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of release processes
8. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all release procedures and actions taken
9. Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements in a highly regulated government environment
10. Participate in on-call rotations to support production deployments and troubleshoot issues

## Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Release Engineering, or a similar role
- Strong proficiency in Ansible Automation Platform, including the ability to write and troubleshoot complex YAML playbooks
- Solid development experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
- Proficient in Python programming, with the ability to read, troubleshoot, and improve existing code
- Proficient in Python Pytest framework for developing automated testing
- Extensive experience with Azure cloud services and architectures
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and release management best practices
- Experience working in highly regulated environments
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
- Experience with Git for version control
- Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer, Ansible Automation Platform

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $85.00/hr.
