Senior Apigee (Middleware) Lead with experience with SAP BTP, S4 HANA or SuccessFactors Or ECC (so one or the other)
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
8+ years of experience in integration and API architecture/delivery.
Hands-on experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite components such as Cloud Integration, API Management, Event Mesh, and Open Connectors.
Strong experience with Google Apigee including proxies, policies, developer portals, analytics, and API security.
Experience integrating SAP platforms such as S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba, or SAP ECC with enterprise applications.
Strong knowledge of REST, SOAP, OData, event-driven architecture, OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, and API gateway patterns.
Experience with CI/CD, automation, monitoring, logging, and production support models.
Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex delivery across multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
SAP BTP and/or Apigee certifications.
Experience with hyperscale's such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.
Familiarity with microservices, Kubernetes, and enterprise architecture frameworks.
Experience defining API product strategy and platform operating models.
We are seeking an experienced BTP-IS and Apigee Lead to define, build, and govern enterprise integration and API management solutions across cloud and hybrid landscapes. This role will lead architecture, delivery, and operational oversight for SAP BTP Integration Suite and Google Apigee, enabling secure, scalable, and reusable integrations and APIs. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong stakeholder management, delivery leadership, and platform governance experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and implementation of enterprise integration solutions using SAP BTP Integration Suite and Apigee.
Define API and integration architecture, standards, patterns, and governance frameworks.
Oversee end-to-end API lifecycle management including design, security, publishing, versioning, monitoring, and decommissioning.
Drive integration delivery across SAP and non-SAP systems, including cloud, on-premise, and third-party platforms.
Establish reusable assets, accelerators, and best practices for APIs, events, and system integrations.
Partner with business, product, security, and engineering teams to prioritize and deliver integration capabilities.
Ensure platform reliability, performance, scalability, and operational support readiness.
Lead and mentor integration developers, API engineers, and technical analysts.
Support environment strategy, DevSecOps pipelines, testing, release management, and production support.
Manage vendor coordination, technical risks, issue resolution, and stakeholder communication.
