Duration: Long Term on Contract

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Material Master Solution Architect / Senior SAP MM Architect to provide enterprise-level solution architecture, functional leadership, and strategic guidance for Material Master management within an SAP S/4HANA environment.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP MM and Material Master data models, configuration, business processes, integrations, and end-to-end impact analysis. This role requires the ability to evaluate how changes to Material Master affect enterprise-wide business processes, applications, interfaces, and downstream systems.

This is primarily a solution architecture and design role, not a data migration or purely SAP MDG-focused position. Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, particularly Siemens Teamcenter, and PLM-to-SAP integration is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

·        Own and define solution architecture for SAP Material Master within an SAP S/4HANA environment.

·        Analyze Material Master requirements and assess their impact across Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Source-to-Pay, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Planning/MRP, Inventory Management, Supply Chain, Finance, and related enterprise processes.

·        Perform end-to-end impact analysis to identify required Material Master changes, affected business processes, application dependencies, interfaces, and architectural considerations.

·        Define and evaluate Material Master data models, configuration, business processes, integration patterns, and interfaces.

·        Assess enterprise-wide dependencies and risks before recommending or approving architectural changes.

·        Analyze Material Master integration with PLM systems, particularly Siemens Teamcenter or similar platforms.

·        Understand and evaluate data flows from PLM to SAP S/4HANA, including interface architecture, data mapping, integration points, and potential challenges.

·        Collaborate with SAP functional and technical teams, PLM specialists, business stakeholders, integration teams, and application owners to develop appropriate solutions.

·        Translate business requirements into scalable, practical, and sustainable SAP Material Master solution designs.

·        Provide architectural guidance, design recommendations, and SAP best practices to business and technical teams.

·        Support the establishment and standardization of Material Master governance, data ownership, and operating processes within a centralized data organization.

·        Work directly with business users to improve their understanding and effective use of Material Master processes and standards.

·        Develop and deliver training on Material Master processes, governance, and best practices.

·        Provide functional and technical leadership to support the transition toward a centralized Material Master operating model.

Mandatory Skills and Qualifications

·        Strong hands-on experience with SAP MM (Materials Management).

·        Extensive experience with SAP S/4HANA.

·        Deep expertise in SAP Material Master data, including its structure, configuration, views, organizational dependencies, and business usage.

·        Strong understanding of Material Master integration with core SAP modules and enterprise applications.

·        Proven ability to conduct end-to-end impact analysis for Material Master changes.

·        Strong knowledge of Material Master dependencies across procurement, manufacturing, planning/MRP, inventory, sales, supply chain, and finance.

·        Experience in solution architecture, functional design, and enterprise-level solution assessment.

·        Ability to evaluate architectural alternatives and recommend appropriate solutions based on business requirements and downstream impacts.

·        Experience analyzing system interfaces, integration dependencies, and enterprise data flows.

·        Strong stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

PLM and Integration Requirements

·        Experience working with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.

·        Understanding of PLM-to-SAP Material Master integration and associated data flows.

·        Ability to analyze integration architecture, interface design, data mapping, and synchronization challenges.

·        Experience with Siemens Teamcenter is highly desirable but not mandatory.

·        Ability to collaborate effectively with PLM, SAP, integration, and business teams.
