Job Description:

Cydecor is seeking a qualified Geospatial Analyst to join our team in partnership with the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) under the Object Based Intelligence and Quality Assurance (OBIQUA) task order.

The Geospatial Analyst (OBI Advanced Analytic Method Augmentation), will support multiple DIA initiatives, including the Machine-Assisted Rapid-Repository System (MARS), Object Management Services (OMS), and Object-Based Intelligence (OBI).

In this role, you will conduct analysis of objects, networks, and people using geospatial tools, methodologies, spatial-temporal data, imagery, social and physical sciences.

Work locations vary throughout the National Capital Region (NCR), with Reston, VA and Washington, DC being primary locations.

Responsibilities include:
  • Employ imagery, vector, and other data types to include non-geospatially correlated data to locate, identify, and map objects in the spatial domain.
  • Analyze terrain mapping, route planning, and maritime geospatial activity.
  • Characterize spatial-temporal data using GIS such as ArcGIS or QGIS.
  • Ensure tradecraft compliance and analytic standards as it relates to geospatial analysis on the contract.
  • Advise on emerging geospatial methods, tools, algorithms, training, or requirements to advance DIA's analytic edge in relation to geospatial analysis.
  • Apply innovative methodologies to address information gaps
  • Rectify areas of absent or ambiguous information to ensure analytical solutions are thorough and logical.
  • Enhance analytic insight through the integration of new data sets and advanced analytic methods.
  • Integrate geospatial data into practical workflows that align with analytic requirements and client needs.
  • Leverage cartographic principles in all map products to ensure ease of use and interpretation.
  • Develop algorithms and solutions to analyze, process, and/or visualize data that requires distributed processing.

Here's what you need:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related area and 8+ years of experience conducting geospatial analysis of objects and networks using geospatial tools, methodologies, spatial-temporal data, imagery, social and physical sciences.
  • Adept in the integration of geospatial data into all source products or analytical workflows
  • Ability to configure and explain geospatial models that leverage statistics, data science, and appropriate quantitative methods.
  • Demonstrated understanding of community data sets, agency programs, machine learning, data science, and related disciplines

Bonus points if you have:
  • Master's degree in a related area and at least 12 years of related experience (with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years), OR a Bachelor's degree in a related area and at least 17 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrates ability to define problems, supervise studies and lead surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions.

Security Clearance:
  • Active TS/SCI

Education:
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree

Work Schedule:
  • Monday - Friday, 8 hours each day.
