Project Manager

Job Title: Project Manager (PMP Certified)
Location: Tallahassee, FL (Onsite/Hybrid – as required)
Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver large-scale IT initiatives involving multiple technologies and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management methodologies, organizational change management (OCM), and stakeholder engagement, along with a proven track record of successfully managing complex enterprise projects.

General Experience Requirements

• Minimum 7+ years of IT experience, including 4+ years in project management
• Experience managing projects across multiple technologies and business functions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  (Equivalent work experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis)
• PMP Certification (mandatory)
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in:
  • Managing large-scale, complex projects with multiple workstreams
  • Organizational Change Management (OCM) strategy and implementation
  • Enterprise project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, Jira)
  • Applying formal PM methodologies and maintaining PMO standards
  • Risk mitigation and issue management
  • Facilitating executive-level stakeholder meetings
  • Developing technical and project documentation
• Proven ability to:
  • Deliver executive-level status reports
  • Lead cross-functional teams and modernization initiatives
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills

Note: Selected candidates must successfully complete a Level II Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Change Management (e.g., Prosci)
• Agile/Scrum certifications (PMI-ACP, CSM)
• ITIL Foundation Certification
• Experience managing projects with geographically distributed teams
• Experience with Florida State Government projects (knowledge of Rule 60GG-1, F.A.C preferred)
• Vendor management and coordination with development teams
• Familiarity with criminal justice IT environments
• Strong skills in facilitation, negotiation, and team building
• Experience with ServiceNow and DocuSign
• Proactive leadership style with strong problem-solving ability

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project lifecycle from initiation through closure
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, and resources
• Drive OCM strategies and ensure successful adoption
• Coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams
• Maintain project documentation aligned with PMO standards
• Deliver regular executive updates and status reports
