Summary
Job Title: Project Manager (PMP Certified)
Location: Tallahassee, FL (Onsite/Hybrid – as required)
Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver large-scale IT initiatives involving multiple technologies and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management methodologies, organizational change management (OCM), and stakeholder engagement, along with a proven track record of successfully managing complex enterprise projects.
General Experience Requirements
- Minimum 7+ years of IT experience, including 4+ years in project management
- Experience managing projects across multiple technologies and business functions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
(Equivalent work experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis) - PMP Certification (mandatory)
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in:
- Managing large-scale, complex projects with multiple workstreams
- Organizational Change Management (OCM) strategy and implementation
- Enterprise project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, Jira)
- Applying formal PM methodologies and maintaining PMO standards
- Risk mitigation and issue management
- Facilitating executive-level stakeholder meetings
- Developing technical and project documentation
- Proven ability to:
- Deliver executive-level status reports
- Lead cross-functional teams and modernization initiatives
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
Note: Selected candidates must successfully complete a Level II Background Check
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Change Management (e.g., Prosci)
- Agile/Scrum certifications (PMI-ACP, CSM)
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- Experience managing projects with geographically distributed teams
- Experience with Florida State Government projects (knowledge of Rule 60GG-1, F.A.C preferred)
- Vendor management and coordination with development teams
- Familiarity with criminal justice IT environments
- Strong skills in facilitation, negotiation, and team building
- Experience with ServiceNow and DocuSign
- Proactive leadership style with strong problem-solving ability
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project lifecycle from initiation through closure
- Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, and resources
- Drive OCM strategies and ensure successful adoption
- Coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams
- Maintain project documentation aligned with PMO standards
- Deliver regular executive updates and status reports
