The ideal candidate will combine deep expertise in social science research and quantitative analysis with an understanding of information operations, enabling the translation of complex data into actionable insights. This position offers an opportunity to directly support operational outcomes in a dynamic, high-impact environment.

Duties
  • Lead and conduct evaluations of OIE, primarily PSYOP operational impact assessments.

  • Refine inputs for reporting and test applications for operational utility.
  • Create training materials to support subordinate units' assessments.
  • Offer insights to refine analytical models over time.

Expanded / customer-aligned responsibilities
  • Design and implement quantitative and mixed-methods research approaches to assess influence effectiveness and behavioral outcomes within the OIE.
  • Develop, validate, and refine multivariate statistical models to measure campaign performance, audience response, and operational impact.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources (survey data, operational reporting, open-source/social media, and intelligence reporting) to support comprehensive assessments.
  • Translate complex analytical results into clear, decision-ready products for senior leaders and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support development and continuous improvement of assessment frameworks, measures of effectiveness (MOEs), and measures of performance (MOPs).
  • Evaluate and test analytic tools, models, and applications for operational utility and scalability.
  • Collaborate with planners, intelligence analysts, and information operations professionals to align analysis with campaign objectives and operational priorities.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and guidance to subordinate units on assessment methodologies, data collection, and analysis techniques.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • Possess a Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain Top Secret (TS)/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) at the time of proposal submission and maintain the clearance level required to access the facility.
  • Hold a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Behavioral Science (Psychology, Anthropology, or related field).
  • Have a minimum of five (5) years' experience (within the last seven years) in social science or market research methodology, including data cleaning, processing, management, and statistical analysis.
  • Have a minimum of five (5) years' experience (within the last seven years) developing multivariate models and conducting statistical analysis.
  • Have a minimum of five (5) years' experience using statistical analysis software applications.
  • Experience with tradecraft and publication, including the ability to coordinate and support cross-community meetings and working groups, assimilate large volumes of information, and independently produce written reports.
  • Demonstrated experience applying statistical analysis to real-world operational or mission-focused problems.
  • Strong proficiency in tools such as R, Python, SAS, SPSS, or STATA for data analysis and modeling.
  • Experience with data visualization and communicating analytical findings to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work in classified environments and handle sensitive data in accordance with security requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting information operations (IO), PSYOP, strategic communications, or influence campaigns.
  • Familiarity with Operational Information Environment (OIE) frameworks, including audience analysis and behavioral assessment.
  • Experience developing and applying measures of effectiveness (MOEs) and measures of performance (MOPs) in operational contexts.
  • Experience integrating open-source intelligence (OSINT), social media analytics, and behavioral data into analytic models.
  • Knowledge of USSOCOM, Joint Staff, or Combatant Command assessment processes and reporting structures.
  • Experience working in deployed or forward environments supporting operational missions.
  • Experience supporting training development and delivery for analytical methodologies.
