Summary
Position: AWS Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 Months Contract-to-Hire
W2 Contract
Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation)
- Expertise in Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, and Microservices
- Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation
- CI/CD using Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, or GitHub Actions
- Strong scripting experience with Python and Bash
- Experience with production support, incident management, RCA, and automation
SRE & Observability Skills
- Monitoring & Alerting: CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK Stack, Splunk
- Define and manage SLIs, SLOs, and Error Budgets
- Incident Response, On-call Support, Postmortems, and Root Cause Analysis
- Capacity Planning, Performance Tuning, and High Availability
- Automated Remediation and Runbook Automation
- Reliability Engineering and Production Operations
Preferred Skills
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer
- Multi-account AWS environments and Landing Zones
- AWS Organizations & Service Control Policies (SCP)
- GitOps (ArgoCD/FluxCD)
- Service Mesh (Istio/Linkerd)
- FinOps, Cloud Cost Optimization, and AWS Security Best Practices
