Data Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer who will support a high-priority project rewriting the backend of a large-scale data processing system. This role focuses on cloud-native architecture and large-scale data processing. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and mentor junior developers within an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Build innovative, full-stack solutions using Java and Python that align with business objectives.
• Implement and optimize large-scale data processing workflows using Spark and AWS Glue.
• Contribute to the technology roadmap and architectural decisions for cloud-native applications.
• Create comprehensive unit tests, perform code reviews, and support QA/UAT phases to ensure production stability.
• Participate in all Agile ceremonies, fostering a high-performing team mindset.

Technical Requirements

6+ years of core Java and Python back-end development experience with hands on experience in the following:

• PySpark (DataFrames, SQL, Streaming), Apache Spark, and AWS Glue (performance and cost optimization).
• Git and building CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred).
• Angular or modern JavaScript frameworks.
• API infrastructure, SQL, and database management.

Preferred

• Experience with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.
• Prior experience in high-security or Federal environments.
