The Work

The Business Analyst III is responsible for overseeing, managing, and implementing the development of documentation for the client's business needs. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the successful translation of current system functionality into actionable system requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document user requirements, business processes, and system issues to support automation initiatives and improvements to existing applications.
  • Elicit and document business needs for new system development and translate requirements into well?defined user stories.
  • Create comprehensive user stories, define clear acceptance criteria, and conduct manual testing, including mobile application testing.
  • Develop wireframes to support intuitive, user?centered design.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to validate requirements and gather feedback on solutions.
  • Participate in or lead Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
  • Provide guidance to development teams by answering questions on user stories and serving as the interface between the developers and stakeholders.
  • Perform quality assurance (QA) reviews of user stories to ensure acceptance criteria, non?functional requirements, and overall readiness are fully met.
  • Coordinate and guide User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities with business stakeholders, ensuring timely sign?off and documenting additional work items for backlog consideration.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation and assist in preparing proposals for new system enhancements.
  • Provide consultation on application analysis, troubleshoot system issues, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Adhere to all TDA policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Here's What You Need
  • 8 years of experience with Agile methodologies, user story creation, working as part of

an Agile team as a Business Analyst, participating in all Agile ceremonies, and leading

refinement, Sprint Planning, Daily Standup, and Retrospective sessions.
  • 8 years of experience using Azure Dev Ops, Jira, or similar.
  • 8 years of working in highly complex (senior level) business analysis work.
  • 8 years of performing quality assurance (QA) reviews of user stories to ensure acceptance criteria, non-functional requirements, and overall readiness are fully met.
  • 8 years of coordinating and guiding User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities with business stakeholders, ensuring timely sign off and documenting additional work items for backlog consideration.
  • 8 years of experience identifying opportunities to improve business processes through automation and help prepare proposals to develop new systems.
  • 8 years of consulting on the analysis of an application, troubleshoots system problems, and implements solutions.
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

Minimum Skills:
  • Must possess problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
  • Analyzing and interpreting raw data.
  • Requirements gathering and documentation.
  • Business process improvement and system design.
  • Ability to respond effectively to customers with a sense of urgency.
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to handle and manage multiple tasks at any one time.
  • Ability to forge new relationships, individual and teaming in nature.
  • Must be a Self-starter, that can work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions
  • Professional office environment, with the ability to work on site in the main office in Austin, TX.
  • Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
  • Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen.
  • May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays.
  • May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.
  • May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.
