Job Title : Cloud Engineer- Ab Initio (ETL)

Location:- Hybrid to McLean or Richmond, VA office. 3 days a week required, Friday is wfh

Duration:- –  9-month contract (Potential for extension based on performance/budget).

Interview Process: Round 1: 1-hour interview with a 3-person panel.

Job Description:

REQUIRED SKILLS -  Ab Initio (ETL), Python, SQL and AWS Cloud

Experience: 3–5 years (Targeting the 3+ year range).

Technical Stack: ETL, Python and SQL.

Familiarity with the AWS environment (The role is "exposure/support" rather than heavy cloud architecture/engineering).

Soft Skills: Strong communication, individual contributor mindset, and a collaborative team player.

NICE TO HAVE:

Actimize- UK based, third party tool

Prior experience in BFSI

Experience with PagerDuty for monitoring/incident response. (they don't use CloudWatch)

Key Responsibilities:

Support existing models and handle new development projects.

Monitor production jobs to ensure they function as expected; troubleshoot production issues.

Handle data retention tasks

ECE on AWS.

Team Structure: 17 people across two teams based in Richmond and McLean.

Expect a 3-week ramp-up period.



This is a backfill for a previous contractor who hit their tenure limit. The manager is looking for someone who wants to be there long-term.
