Position Summary: six-month CTH, hybrid with Tuesdays and Thursdays in their Las Colinas office
The Senior Cloud Engineer designs, implements, and operates secure, scalable, and compliant cloud infrastructure supporting a nationwide finance organization. This role serves as a senior technical contributor and mentor within the infrastructure team, driving cloud modernization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across Azure-based and hybrid environments. The Senior Cloud Engineer partners with application, security, compliance, and operations teams to ensure cloud solutions align with enterprise architecture, regulatory requirements, and business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and operate secure, highly available Microsoft Azure infrastructure supporting mission-critical financial services platforms.
- Implement and maintain cloud architecture best practices, including infrastructure as code, automation, monitoring, and resiliency.
- Partner with application teams to support cloud-native and hybrid workloads across development, test, and production environments.
- Ensure cloud environments comply with enterprise security, risk, and regulatory requirements common to auto finance and financial services.
- Implement and operate identity, access management, encryption, logging, and security monitoring controls.
- Support incident response, root-cause analysis, and ongoing infrastructure reliability improvements.
- Contribute to cloud standards, documentation, and operational procedures; provide mentorship to junior engineers.

Skills Required:
- Deep expertise across Microsoft Azure services, including compute, containers, serverless, storage, networking, and identity, with proven ability to design and operate secure, scalable enterprise cloud environments.
- Minimum three years of production experience using Terraform and Azure Bicep, combined with advanced automation skills in PowerShell, Python, and Azure CLI to deliver reliable, repeatable, and self-healing cloud solutions.
- Extensive experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) to support infrastructure deployments, environment promotion, approval workflows, and secure credential management.
- Hands-on experience implementing Azure security and governance controls, including Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Key Vault, RBAC, and Azure Policy, with strong understanding of identity management, OAuth/OIDC, and financial-services regulatory frameworks (e.g., PCI-DSS, SOX, GLBA, FFIEC, SOC 2).
- Strong experience supporting container platforms (AKS, Azure Container Apps, Docker), hybrid networking architectures (ExpressRoute, VPN, DNS, Private Endpoints), and backup and disaster recovery solutions to meet defined RPO/RTO objectives.
- Proficiency with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and KQL, coupled with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex infrastructure, performance, and security issues in high-availability enterprise environments.

Required Experience:
- Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, with a primary focus on designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
- Proven experience in a Senior Cloud Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or IT Systems Engineer role within a large-scale enterprise environment, supporting complex and mission-critical systems.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
